Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship, IIM Ahmedabad

IIM Ahmedabad’s Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) helps entrepreneurs turn ideas into viable businesses. In partnership with our mentors, corporates, development agencies, IIMA community and investors, CIIE cultivates a rare breed of entrepreneurs by incubating, accelerating, mentoring and funding innovative start-ups. CIIE believes that entrepreneurship has an unmatched ability to bring about disruptive change in India and engages with ventures across technology and impact areas like energy, environment, agriculture, healthcare and affordable technology. CIIE believes it should operate in sectors and geographies where there are market failures and private support is not easy to find.

Foundation for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship

Foundation for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship (FISE) is an initiative of Tata Trusts to promote socially relevant innovations and entrepreneurship with a mission to create large scale sustainable social impact. FISE is a Technology Business Incubator, approved by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India that nurtures social sector startups through their lab to market journey, helping them create high quality, commercially viable, accessible and affordable solutions. FISE aims to tap entrepreneurs and innovators having a strong focus on addressing development sector challenges to create social change and remain engaged with them throughout their product lifecycle stages. This is achieved through a unique three-tier ecosystem architecture stack called Social Alpha. Social Alpha stack is focused on catalysing innovation, enterprise incubation and growth hacking, in order to address the challenges of scale and sustainability in providing access to affordable healthcare, nutrition, livelihoods, education, sanitation, water, clean energy, credit, insurance etc. to the underserved communities.

Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, IIT - B

Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), hosted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay), is an umbrella for fostering entrepreneurship and nurturing Tech startups at IIT Bombay. SINE administers a broad spectrum business incubator which provides support for technology based entrepreneurship with a focus on IP and product based startups.

Set up in 2004, It is one of the earliest incubators in academia with a potential to create economic growth, strategic value and social relevance.

Over a period of time SINE has supported 100+ startups and is actively participating in many new programs in collaboration with Government, Institutions, Industry and Academia. It has also expanded its activities by reaching out for cross-border collaborations.

IC² Institute at The University of Texas, Austin

The IC² Institute is an interdisciplinary research unit of The University of Texas at Austin which works to advance the theory and practice of entrepreneurial wealth creation. It was founded in 1977 as a "think and do" tank to test the belief of its' founder, George Kozmetsky, that technological innovation can catalyze regional economic development through the active and directional collaboration among the university, government and private sectors. It has been instrumental in Austin's growth as an innovation and technology center and in the development of knowledge-based economies in over 35 countries. The IC² Institute joined IIGP in 2006 and has helped India's early-stage innovators bring their new technologies to market in India and around the world. For IIGP 2.0, IC² Institute would be providing incubation support through XLr8 Andhra Pradesh and Nexus at The American Center.
